This sweater is bold but versatile. The eye-catching color work makes a statement while the balloon sleeves work to give it a softer, romantic look. Not to mention the construction allows for customizable length. This piece can truly fit into any handmade wardrobe.

The Koivua is a show stopper of a sweater. This is the piece I wear when I need the satisfaction of replying, "I made it!" I happen to love so many of Caitlin's patterns (I mean she's talented as hell, especially when it comes to colorwork!) but if I had to pick a favorite? This would be it!

The pattern calls for Spincycle and Ritual Dyes but.... I had seen another knitter's sweater on the Ravelry Project Page and fell in love with her color choice and immediately set out to find my yarn. As soon as I came across Flette by Woolfolk, I knew it was the perfect yarn to achieve my vision. I left out the textured parts of the pattern because I knew it wouldn't be seen due to the yarns own texture.

***But don't worry ya'll...I loved knitting this sweater so much, Ill definitely be making a Spincycle/Ritual version too.....just as soon as a I can whittle down all the amazing color options!

Pairing the Koivua with a bold pleated black skirt, lace up leather boots, a sweet classic clutch and a dash of sass gives this sweater a witchy vibe that I cant get enough of. Holiday parties...here I come!
